Design innovative models or systems that optimize the organization’s resources.
Taking this course: Innovation Models and Organizational Development has helped me tremendously and significantly in designing new methods and also sharpening my creative thinking. Peter Drucker one said, “The purpose of a business is to create a customer.” In light of the church every person that we come in contact with can be consider a customer for the kingdom. The creation of new opportunities and new methods to reach people has helped me to be more effective in coming up with better plans. A clear understanding of the importance of innovation has empowered my personal life by identifying opportunities for innovation. It is the key to transforming growth, sustainability, and relevance.
Chapter three of my research explores the description of the methodology used during the investigation and addresses the design of the study, which includes: (a) the type of research, (b) the study population, (c) the sample, (d) the measuring instrument, (e) the null hypotheses, (f) the data collection and (g) the data analysis. The experience will certainly help me to conduct other research and create new models.
The Quality Management course introduced me to tools than can be effective in training church officers to function with confidence in their given office for the New Year. One such process in which I engaged was that of using the PDCA (plan, do, check, act) model to address the need for mentorship for newly voted church board members in order to optimize the use of their resources. The PDCA model assisted in creating a detailed approach to engage with the leadership team of the church in order to institute a process to address gaps.
